Reliance which is Allison’s latest project met it’s most recent Kickstarter goal and then some. This guaranteed the production of the 2nd episode of the web series. Their next goal which will guarantee episode 3 is for $10,000 and they are nearly there.
Allison Scagliotti of Syfy’s “Warehouse 13” returns to the stage as she joins the cast of Darren Caulley’s Unhealthy for a limited workshop run at HERE Arts Center in New York from December 4th-9th.
Scagliotti will play Michelle, a fledgling actress struggling to maintain a positive relationship with her roommate as she continues to allow house visits from a mentally unstable, obsessed fan. The cast of the play will also feature Broadway’s Caitlin Kinnunen, whose credits include Spring Awakening and the national tour of Next to Normal directed by Michael Greif.
Best known known as Claudia Donovan on Syfy’s “Warehouse 13,” Scagliotti’s screen credits include reoccurring roles on “Drake & Josh,”“Grounded for Life,” and “One Tree Hill,” in addition to guest roles on “Zoey 101,”“ER,”“CSI,”“Mental,” and “Smallville.”
As far as techies go, Warehouse 13’s Claudia Donovan is among the best. More than once she has come up with a last-minute solution to help resolve the Artifact-induced crisis of the week and save the day. Just as Claudia can be counted on in a professional crisis, the same is true with her friendships. In last year’s penultimate episode Emily Lake, Claudia was devastated when friend and fellow Warehouse agent Steve Jinks was murdered while working undercover. She vowed then to use an Artifact to set things right, no matter what the cost.
Claudia’s reaction to Steve’s death and her subsequent resolve to bring him back to life gave the actress who plays her, Allison Scagliotti, the opportunity to show audiences just how good her acting chops are.
“Shooting Emily Lake was a rollercoaster ride and emotionally taxing,” recalls Scagliotti. “Every actor has a different approach to handling emotional content on-set in a scene, and mine changes. Sometimes I use my imagination, while other times I use a piece of music to evoke emotion. However, with the Claudia and Steve [Aaron Ashmore] dynamic, just rounding the corner in that hanger and seeing her friend lifeless was enough to trigger everything.
Not far behind “Game of Thrones,” however, was Syfy’s “Warehouse 13, earning seven nominations this year and trying to nab its first win ever. But the competition is tough. McClintock and Kelley have nominations in the top acting categories, and they are joined by Saul Rubinek and Allison Scagliotti in the supporting actor categories.
Allison Scagliotti is best known to genre fans for her role as Claudia Donovan – the most kick-ass hacker this side of Lisbeth Salender – on Syfy’s Warehouse 13. But the twenty-one-year-old will likely soon win a new audience of horror fans with her starring role in Chastity Bites, a film that finds the legendary Elizabeth Bathory (the sixteenth century Hungarian countess who bathed in the blood of virgins) setting up shop in a California public high school as an abstinence educator (what better way to keep the virgin population high?). Scagliotti plays Leah Ratliff, a young feminist who might be the only thing standing in this villainess’s way. The film wraps production in Los Angeles this week, but Scagliotti kindly took time out of her busy schedule yesterday to chat with me about her role in Chastity Bites; where she’d like to see Claudia go Warehouse 13′s fourth season enters production; and her plans for this holiday season. Check out our conversation, as well as some more photos from the film, after the jump.
This must be a pretty busy week for you. It’s the last week of shooting for Chastity Bites.
It is the last week, but, oddly enough, even though I’m the lead in the movie, I had two days off in the middle of the week to get ready for the last big day, which I’m trying to utilize to the best of my ability, working out and lining up all my wrap gifts for the cast and crew.
I hear this is also the bloodiest week.
It is the bloodiest week. A lot of blood is spilled in the climax of this movie. [Laughs.] I think horror fans will be very pleased with the gore.
